A Meditation Ritual Box

Meditation takes many forms, from walking or dancing, to sitting quietly or even chanting. Some like to bring stillness and peace to their experience, while others prefer a guided audio. Meditation brings us deeper into ourselves, a few moments away from the world “out there” to explore the infinite world within. May these tools inspire your personal practice.

Please scroll to the bottom for a meditation ritual and a video on how to play your singing bowl.

- Lotus Art Card: the lotus has long been a symbol of ever unfolding enlightenment in eastern traditions.

-Mala Beads and Silk Brocade Pouch: a mala is a string of prayer beads used to count mantras or repeat affirmations in sets of 108 repetitions. The practice of chanting a mantra is used as a form of meditation, the mantra is repeated out loud or within the mind.

- Meditation Candle by House of Good Juju: infused with Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Smoky Quartz, and Kyanite, as well as a selection of essential oils. Visit houseofgoodjuju.com

- Go Deep Meditation Oil by La Que Sabe: this oil is specially formulated to help you connect with higher states of consciousness, anoint your third eye or wherever you prefer, prior to meditation. Made with essential oils of frankincense, myrrh, sandalwood, clary sage and Reiki energy.

-Celestite Crystal Cluster: also known as Celestine, is a powerful healing crystal. Celestite will connect one with the Angelic realms, allowing for the free-flow of these higher frequencies into the Crown and Third-Eye Chakras, and also the Throat Chakra for expression.

-Dhoop Incense Sticks: a style of incense without the bamboo stick. Use the hole in the box to hold the incense while burning.

-Brass Singing Bowl with Pillow& Striker: the pure sounds produced when the rim is rubbed by the mallet is said to put the brain into a meditative state. The vibrations of the singing bowls have the same wavelength found in the brainwaves that produce feelings of relaxation. Getting a bowl to sing may be challenging at first, but keep trying!

Cleansing Crystals and Stones
I feel like it is very important to energetically cleanse your crystals, malas and stones, as they are constantly absorbing and releasing energy. They can be cleansed several ways, by intention, by placing in the window under a new or full moon, by smudging with sage or Palo Santo smoke or other purifying resin incense, such as frankincense or myrrh. You can also place then on a bowl with sea salt, or a bowl of sea-salt water. DO NOT place softer crystals, such as selenite or clusters of any kind into salt water as this could damage your crystals.

Meditation Ritual
Prepare your sacred space or altar by bringing together items of significance, such as a photo or other meaningful symbols. I like to represent the elements with a vessel of water, a lit candle for fire, an incense or sage bundle for air and a crystal or plant for earth.

Sit in a comfortable position and consider your intention and create a mantra or affirmation for this ritual such as-

  • I deserve whatever good comes my way today.
  • I radiate confidence, certainty and optimism.
  • I love myself more every day.
  • Today, and every day, I choose to give to the world.

Anoint your third eye and crown chakras, or if you prefer, anoint all of the chakras or any other part of your body with the Go Deep meditation oil. you can also use this oil to anoint your candles and other sacred objects.

Holding your mala beads on your hand, closing your eyes or keeping them open with a soft gaze, begin to say your mantra, moving your fingers to a new bead with each repetition.

Once you have completed a round of affirmations, give thanks to your being for your life and experience.

Blessings,
Lalania
