Colored pencils and sharpener- What good is an awesome coloring book if you don't have the supplies to enjoy it? If you are really inspired by this creative exercise pick up some nice felt-tipped pens to take it to the next level.

Yerba Santa (sacred herb) smudge stick and large abalone shell- This herb is traditionally used for enhancing psychic abilities, magical protection, healing and spiritual strength and is excellent for meditation and divination. The process of smudging involves burning the tip of the stick, blowing out the flame one the herbs have ignited. Hold the sage over the shell to catch ashes as you slowly smudge yourself or others by slowly moving the glowing stick around the body. The shell energy is used to bring in the balance of the elements (i.e. fire, smoke or air, shell for water and the herbs themselves as the earth element.) Purify your energy body and that of your home by walking around your home and to each room, waving the smoke into corners and around windows and doors.

Amethyst crystal cluster-"Amethyst is a remarkable stone of spirituality and contentment, known for its metaphysical abilities to still the mind and inspire an enhanced meditative state. Its inherent high frequency purifies the aura of any negative energy or attachments, and creates a protective shield of Light around the body, allowing one to remain clear and centered while opening to spiritual direction. Amethyst stimulates the Third Eye, Crown and Etheric Chakras enhancing cognitive perception as well as accelerating the development of intuitive and psychic ability. It initiates wisdom and greater understanding, and is a stone of comfort for those grieving the loss of a loved one.To relax the system and increase awareness, hold single Amethyst crystals or small clusters in the left hand (termination towards the arm) during meditation to draw Amethyst energy into the body."-Crystal Vaults

Small Rosewood 108 Japa MalaThe use of beads in prayer seems to have originated around the 8th century B.C.E. in India. A mala is a string of prayer beads used to count mantras or repeat affirmations in sets of 108 repetitions. A mantra is a word or series of words chanted aloud or silently to invoke spiritual qualities. The practice of chanting a mantra is used as a form of meditation. Sitting in a comfortable position the mantra is repeated out loud or within the mind. It is said that the mala becomes charged with the energy of the mantra, and some suggest using each mala for only one mantra. I use mine for different mantras all the time, but I march to my own drum. Also included are several suggestions with your mala around our theme of Radical Self-Love.

For Those Who Might Not Know Where To Start: Practical Self Love
by Micah Blacklight
We divvy out portions of ourselves, hoard the most sacred parts, dole those bits out only to the ones we deem worthy. The ones who make it through the trials, swim or jump our moats, get past the guard dragons at the front gates. Scale our walls. These trials: the walls, the moats, the facades, the trapdoors- all were designed to keep those who would harm us out.
But so many of us never realize we're keeping ourselves IN.
If we continue to wait, to hide the best bits of ourselves: the quirks, oddities, geekinesses, the strange pet peeves and judgements- when we wait to show what we consider our "true selves" until a person has managed to navigate all the pitfalls we put between them and those parts, we're giving no thought to what happens to those hidden parts of us in the meantime. We do not reckon the toll it takes on our beingness.
We praise the ones who get through as those who "let us be ourselves" instead of recognizing we are our own prison keepers and the only permission ANYone can grant us is that which we allow them to give us to give ourselves.
What if you BE those parts and those bits and that WHOLE self! What if you start to practice being your "true self" in any and every situation. Go through the awkward moments and the not-so-pleasant experiences and the anything-BUT-smooth times. Shed the "friends" that don't like the being emerging from the self-constructed cages of our puzzle-pieced, socially acceptable perceptions of who we think others think we should be. At the end of that journey is where you get to give yourself the bestest gift you could possibly give you:
You will have learned to love

Radical Self-Love Meditation Ritual

Begin by lighting a candle.
Hold the Yerba Smudge stick above the flame, and once it catches, blow it out. You may need to do it several times until you have a glowing ember at the tip. Beginning at your feet wave the smudge stick around all of the part of your body with the intention of removing any energy that no longer serves you and creating a fresh energy body. This is a good time to cleanse your amethyst cluster as well as any other crystals that may need cleansing. Pass the crystals over the smoke with the simple intention to cleanse the energy they contain.

Set your smudge aside in the shell with gratitude for the earth, fire, air and sea,

Sit down on a chair or in a mediation posture and set your amethyst in front of your meditation area within view. Next spray your Heart Chakra mist above your head or directly on your heart chakra. With mindful breaths, feel your heart open to the love pouring in from the Universe and your I Am presence. Select a mantra from the paper slips or create your own. With eyes closed or softly on the amethyst, begin saying your chosen affirmation. Don't worry if your fingers slip on the beads or stay on the beads for more then one repetition. The intention behind the words is what really matters, not the actual number of repetitions.

Sit for a bit and enjoy the vibration of love that you have created. Let it fill you and radiate from you.
Blessed are you, beautiful soul.
